Haku pledges loyalty to Izuki, asking him to become his master. Initially, Izuki declines, eager to return to the city, but Haku’s earnest loneliness convinces him to bring Haku home. As they share a home, Izuki grows accustomed to Haku’s persistent devotion and begins to question his desire to leave the countryside behind.
